Biography
Born on September 1, 1984, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, Osayande Osawe's journey is one defined by resilience, ambition, and an unwavering belief in destiny. Raised in a modest village as one of nine children, he grew up in an environment where resources were scarce but dreams were abundant. Despite the hardships that shaped his early years, he carried within him a quiet conviction that his life would one day transcend his circumstances.

In 1991, his family made the life-changing decision to emigrate to Canada in search of greater opportunities. Settling in Toronto, he was introduced to a vastly different world one filled with both promise and challenges. His upbringing in the city’s Regent Park neighbourhood exposed him to difficult realities at a young age. At just 12 years old, he experienced a near-tragedy when he narrowly escaped being struck by gunfire, an event that would profoundly shape his outlook on life and deepen his determination to succeed.

Focused on building a better future, he pursued higher education and enrolled at York University one year earlier than all his classmates because his high school Lincoln M. Alexander approved his fast track. This was due to his exceptional intellectual abilities and in doing this he demonstrated both intellectual curiosity and discipline. In 2007, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Chemistry and minor Psychology; a testament to his dedication and versatility.

Even while committed to his academic path, his creative spirit began to emerge. In 2006, he stepped into the world of music, recording songs, performing at highly anticipated events, and releasing singles accompanied by music videos. All his songs were not written down before the fact they're all freestyle as he doesn't believe in writing down lyrics.  This artistic exploration laid the foundation for his eventual transition into acting.

In 2017, he took a decisive step toward his passion for film, landing his first role and beginning formal acting training with EVN Studios in Toronto. Since then, he has remained committed to honing his craft, continuously developing his skills and expanding his presence in the industry.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, he is deeply grounded in community and personal growth. He dedicates time to working out, maintaining both physical and mental discipline.  He actively volunteers at shelters and soup kitchens, giving back to those facing hardships similar to those he once endured.

Driven by purpose and shaped by experience, he is determined to leave a lasting impact in the film industry. His story is not just one of survival, but of transformation, a powerful reminder that greatness can rise from even the most humble beginnings.
